Architectural Historian Intern
Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys and archival research
- Prepare California Department of Parks and Recreation 523 forms
- Assist in developing historic evaluations for compliance with NEPA, Section 106 and CEQA
- Assist in the implementation of historic mitigation
- Work in multidisciplinary teams for successful project execution
- Other duties as required by cultural resources leaders
This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s program in history, art history, public history or closely related field; Masters preferred
- Strong research and writing skills
- Familiarity with CEQA and NEPA and Section 106 of the NHPA
- Experience or training conducting historic evaluations in accordance with national, state and local criteria
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, strong time management skills, and innovative
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The base salary for this temporary position is $27.00 per hour. At Rincon, our salary ranges are based on market median of similar jobs, according to third party salary benchmark surveys. To apply, a resume and cover letter are required as part of the application.
