Product Manager
Rincon Consultants is seeking a Product Manager to support Rincon’s digital transformation by owning digital product management. This role converts strategy into outcomes for development and delivery of client solutions. In addition, the role supports the CTO in implementing new initiatives as project manager and client success management. The role is anchored by the transformation pillars and value mapping established by leadership.
While this role may offer flexible work arrangements that can include a mix of in-office and remote work, our changing business needs will ultimately determine our level of remote-work flexibility. Additionally, to promote in-person collaboration and client teaming, we prioritize hiring those who reside within 50 miles of a Rincon office which currently includes: Carlsbad, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Riverside, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. We are open to locations across California.
What Success Looks Like
A coherent product portfolio and roadmap for data/digital offerings that drives measurable client value and new revenue.
Participating in developing and using the PMO framework that standardizes governance, accelerates delivery, and reduces non‑billable time.
A secure, governed solution platform (e.g., Microsoft Fabric/OneLake, Purview, Synapse, Data Factory) with cataloging, lineage, and quality controls.
Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Define portfolio vision, strategy, and value‑based roadmaps for Rincon’s data/digital products; prioritize features using outcome metrics.
- Establish product discovery/delivery practices; partner with service lines to productize repeatable solutions (GIS, analytics, reporting).
- Develop pricing, packaging, and go‑to‑market in partnership with BizOps/Marketing; ensure messaging aligns with company strategy.
- Assist in vetting, identifying and managing partnerships in service of accelerating solution delivery
PMO & Delivery Management
- Participate in the newly formed PMO governance structure (stage gates, standards, reporting).
- Lead a multi‑project program plan spanning client facing data platforms, and product releases; maintain integrated roadmaps and dependencies.
- Establish portfolio KPIs, dashboards, and cadence (steerco, operating reviews) that trace outcomes to initiatives.
Change Enablement, Training & Adoption
- Work with enterprise change management team and learning programs to sustain adoption across audiences.
- Partner with BizOps/IT to sequence communications and readiness activities around transformation milestones.
- Integrate data governance (catalog, classification, lineage) and AI risk controls into delivery plans; ensure platform security is embedded by design.
- Coordinate with the CISO to align cyber, access, and guest lifecycle management with program timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years delivering GIS‑enabled and data analytics solutions for large infrastructure programs; experience as product owner and digital delivery lead.
- Hands‑on with ArcGIS Enterprise, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, and stakeholder/land‑management platforms; proven automation and QA/QC workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross‑functional and offshore teams; ability to translate complex requirements into secure, scalable, user‑centric platforms.
- Track record of proposal support and productized solutions improving margins on repeatable deliveries (e.g., solar, linear energy).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing a team in a fast paced environment delivering successful outcomes to clients
- Successful delivery of client-facing solutions using a platform approach including GIS, data management and delivery; and customized platform products.
- Background in data governance frameworks, scaleable GIS solutions both within and outside of the Esri space
- PMO leadership for multi‑workstream transformations in consulting or engineering environments.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Product: quarterly ARR/MRR for digital products; feature cycle time; % roadmap objectives delivered.
- Partnering: successfully organize stable of high value partners to facilitate rapid client delivery, and sustained delivery resilience
- PMO: % initiatives on budget/on schedule; stage‑gate compliance; portfolio throughput; reduction in non‑billable time.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $140,000 plus benefits and a generous bonus program. At Rincon, our salary ranges are based on market median of similar jobs, according to third party salary benchmark surveys. The base pay that is actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
