About The Role
We are looking for a creative and collaborative Marketing & Communications Specialist to support firmwide communications, digital marketing, employee engagement, and brand initiatives. This role will help strengthen Rincon’s internal and external communications strategy while supporting the company’s “One Rincon” culture through consistent messaging, storytelling, and collaboration. 

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in digital marketing, internal communications, SharePoint administration, campaign coordination, content development, and client engagement. This position will partner across departments to support strategic initiatives, employee communications, conferences, and marketing campaigns that elevate Rincon’s brand and employee experience. 

How We Collaborate
This role may offer a hybrid work setup, blending time in the office with remote work as business needs evolve. We enjoy coming together in person to collaborate, connect with teammates, and partner with clients, and may prioritize candidates who live within 50 miles of a Rincon office. Eligible office locations for this role include Carlsbad, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Riverside, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.   (Please note: While this role's location is listed as a single location, we encourage you to apply if you reside in or near any of the CA locations listed above.)

What You’ll Do
Digital Marketing & Brand Communications 
  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.  
  • Create, edit, and publish engaging content aligned with Rincon’s brand standards and strategic priorities.  
  • Manage and maintain Rincon’s social media presence, including LinkedIn content planning, posting, and engagement tracking.  
  • Assist with website content updates, blogs, landing pages, and SEO optimization efforts.  
  • Develop and distribute external newsletters, announcements, and promotional materials.  
  • Coordinate with technical teams and business development staff to promote project wins, thought leadership, and company initiatives.  
  • Monitor campaign analytics and engagement metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.  
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, visual identity, and tone across all communication channels.  
Internal Communications & Employee Engagement 
  • Support firmwide internal communication strategies that promote transparency, collaboration, and employee engagement.  
  • Draft and distribute internal announcements, leadership messages, organizational updates, and employee newsletters.  
  • Assist with communication planning for company initiatives, organizational changes, and enterprise system rollouts.  
  • Support employee engagement campaigns, recognition programs, and companywide initiatives.  
  • Maintain communication calendars and editorial schedules.  
  • Help support executive communications and organizational storytelling initiatives.  
SharePoint & Collaboration Platforms 
  • Maintain and update SharePoint sites, intranet pages, and internal resource libraries.  
  • Organize and manage content to improve usability, accessibility, and employee experience.  
  • Assist departments with SharePoint page creation, formatting, publishing workflows, and content updates.  
  • Identify opportunities to improve digital collaboration and information sharing across teams.  
Conferences, Events & Client Engagement 
  • Support conference, trade show, webinar, and event coordination efforts.  
  • Develop conference materials including presentations, signage, handouts, promotional assets, and attendee communications.  
  • Assist with client engagement campaigns and strategic outreach initiatives in partnership with business development and leadership teams.  
  • Coordinate marketing support for sponsorships, speaking engagements, and external events.  
  • Help manage event timelines, logistics, and post-event communications.  
     
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.  
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role.  
  • Strong written, editing, and verbal communication skills.  
  • Experience managing digital content and communication platforms.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Copilot, and Outlook.  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.  
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.  
  • Experience developing marketing collateral, presentations, and branded communication materials.  
  • Familiarity with social media management, especially LinkedIn business engagement and campaign support.  
  • Experience supporting conferences, trade shows, webinars, and client engagement initiatives.  
  • Experience with SharePoint site administration and intranet management.  
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms, campaign analytics, and digital engagement metrics.  
  • Experience working in professional services, environmental consulting, architecture, engineering, or related industries. 

Investing in You
The base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 - $90,000, plus a generous benefits program. Salary ranges are based on the market median of similar jobs, according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Base pay is determined based on internal equity and a candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
